Blues and Greens Mingling

First year in Junior High
Unsure, vulnerable, afraid
Art class....my favorite
Painting freely with cool colors
Blue and Green mingling
Luscious, beautiful, peaceful
Then the shattering words
My respected art teacher telling me
“Blue and green don’t go together,
They clash”
I crashed.
But I love those colors
My inner voice protested
Years went by
And I heeded her words
Much, much later
Blue and green escaped
And together broke free!
Mingling
God smiled.....

I browsed through several of your paintings and thoroughly enjoyed reading your thoughts on them. I hope you will consider doing a video of how you paint? I am curious since I only know drawing/painting but to achieve specific shapes of flowers or other objects without sketching seems a bit daunting to me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your kind comments. I really appreciate it. Painting on yupo paper is a very different experience. You can be free and spontaneous with watercolor and then if you don't like it, just wash it off and start over. It is a trial and error approach. I will consider doing a video or maybe just step by step explanations with photos. Your comments have inspired me!
