Vein of Turquoise

I love turquoise! As I painted this vein in a rock wall, I couldn't believe how alive the vein and the rocks looked. This kind of vibrancy can only be attained on yupo paper. But the character of the rocks intrigued me too. The entire painting felt like it was a part of me!

  1. I found you via pinterest. I LOVE your paintings, the effect of alchol inks on yupo paper. I have both at home but I have been a chicken to just play with them (kinda perfectionist which is not good here)....your abstract paintings have inspired me to try them. TFS.

  2. Sorry, I just realized yours are water colors, not alcohol inks. I used to love water color painting from the age of 6 but somehow switched to oil for a while and haven't painted anything in many many years. Gotta take my watercolors out this weekend.
